Hidden in an old brick building in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, Eli’s Mezcal Room invites you to join a few friends or friendly strangers for a one-of-a-kind mezcal-focused tasting experience.
Each night is part dinner party, part informal classroom and part freewheeling conversation. Gathering around our dining-room table, you’ll try some of the best traditional mezcals we can find, including many that are rarely available outside Mexico. Your visit includes a small drink to start things off, a half-dozen mezcals from our collection, homemade and seasonal snacks, spontaneous digressions and a surprise or two.
It’s for people of all backgrounds and experience levels. It’s mostly mezcal, but you might start with a Belgian beer and end with vintage brandy.
It’s an experiment inspired by the clandestine tasting rooms of Mexico City, the tiny bars of Japan and the warm communal tables of the Caucasus. It’s also undeniably Brooklyn.
It’s a room filled with mezcal (and with people to try it).
